Ashford Homes shortlisted for three Bath Property Awards

We are extremely proud to announce that Ashford Homes has been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s Bath Property Awards: Developer, Residential Development and Transformation for The Old Glove Factory, Neston.

The awards celebrate the very best of the dynamic Bath property sector and are scheduled to take place on Friday 7th November at the Apex City of Bath Hotel.

The Glove Factory Properties for Sale

Completed this summer, The Old Glove Factory is a fantastic collection of six luxury homes in Neston, Wiltshire. This exclusive development includes a beautifully renovated single-storey property, with all homes offering three to five bedrooms.

The former Neston Glove Factory site, originally a coach house, was first established by G.P. Fuller in 1906 to provide employment for local women who chose not to join military service. By 1916, the site had become formally known as the Neston Glove Factory, employing around 120 people at its peak, including many outworkers. The factory gained a reputation for producing high-quality leather gloves, supplying major mail-order companies and even creating gloves worn at Queen Elizabeth II’s wedding in 1947. Operations continued until the factory’s closure in 1965, marking an end to its role in Corsham’s industrial history. The building was later repurposed, but the former office and factory building were destroyed by a fire in 2014. In 2023, Ashford Homes acquired the site, undertaking a full redevelopment. The refurbishment of the factory building was completed in 2025, restoring an important piece of local history for future generations.
