Stonemason

Ashford Homes is seeking a skilled Stonemason to assist with restoring a Grade II listed building in Wiltshire and barn conversions within a conservation area in the outskirts of Bath.

Remedial works are to be undertaken to the existing stone walls which will consist of sand and cement mortar repointing to replace all eroded mortar, replacement of severely eroded stones, crack stitching in certain locations, particularly to provide effective tying of the existing walls around corners and at internal to external wall junctions. Where decayed, existing timber lintels on external elevations are to be replaced with new prestressed concrete lintels and/or structural stone lintels.
