Ashford Homes celebrates key milestone in partnership with Selwood Housing

Ashford Homes is pleased to announce the official handover of keys to Paul Walsh, Group Development Director at Selwood Housing, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing collaboration.

The transfer includes two of our active construction sites:

At McDonogh Court (Polebarn Road) in Trowbridge, we are proud to have handed over five plots as part of a comprehensive scheme that will ultimately provide 18 new homes. This development encompasses a thoughtful mix of one-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom homes, and three-bedroom homes. Notably, 13 of these homes will be available for social rent, while five will be offered through shared ownership. The project is under the management of our dedicated contracting division, Ashford Construction.

Paul Walsh said, “Selwood Housing are delighted to take ownership of two homes at Church Farm and the first five homes at Polebarn Road. We’ve worked on several, successful projects over the last few years with Ashford Homes, a trusted local developer, to deliver much needed local affordable homes. Polebarn Road was a brownfield site with a dangerous derelict structure to demolish next to listed buildings. Working with an experienced and skilled team at Ashford Homes, these site challenges have been overcome and we’re on track to finishing the planned 18 homes – a sensitive development that enhances the local area.”

Simultaneously, at Church Farm in Hilperton, we have transferred ownership of two plots dedicated to shared ownership homes. This is part of our Ashford Homes development, with the remaining 12 plots available for open market.
