We are looking for a General Maintenance Operative to join our team

Ashford Homes is recruiting a General Maintenance Operative to work with our Customer Care team to ensure our home buyers receive the very best service together with other general maintenance duties.

Reporting to the Quality & Customer Care Manager, the successful candidate will be a multi skilled operative with a keen eye for detail and quality. You should be presentable, approachable, punctual, well organised, self-motivated and capable of managing a diverse workload in line with pre-booked appointment times. You must also be able to run your own diary and make your own appointments directly with clients when required.

Typical skills and duties will include:

• Carpentry
• Dry-lining – taping/patching/board replacement etc.
• Tiling – replacing broken tiles etc.
• Decoration
• Mastic
• Minor brickwork – replacing brick work/pointing etc.
• Minor groundwork – replacing slabs/patios etc.
• Cleaning
• Grass cutting.

To be successful in the role, the candidate should have:

• Knowledge of current construction techniques.
• Appropriate IT skills.
• A full clean driving licence is essential.
• An ability to manage multiple priorities and multi-task whilst remaining calm under pressure.
• A great team player.

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 DOE.
