Box Sports Pavilion

Delighted councillors receive the keys to the completed building.

The new Box Pavilion is complete after 15 years of fundraising and planning.

The community hub replaces the old wooden pavilion, which was at the recreation ground for more than 30 years and was knocked down earlier this year to make way for new building.

The future of the pavilion was secured with a grant of £55,000 from North Wiltshire District Council to the Box Pavilion Fund at the end of last year. The building has two floors with two main rooms, changing and toilets as well as a kitchen with additional public toilets.

The pavilion will be home for many sports groups and the youth club.
